SRM—Transparency / Accountability

“It’s About Kids uses an SRM (Supporter Relationship Management) system of accountability. All relevant data related to financial and oversight activities are available to any ministry supporter upon request.

Accountability Declaration:

It’s About Kids endeavors to satisfy supporters’ needs for accountability through transparency and responsible reporting. This is achieved without paying a certification service, except for our certified public accountant and a periodic review for adherence to our bylaws, which specify protocols for behavior for the organization and its functionaries.

The statements from our bylaws that have been most relevant to our ministry partners are as follows:

All support (donations) is attributed 100% to the designated projects toward which a ministry partner is contributing. Expenses related to a specific project, such as travel, office costs, and compensation of ministry officers, have their separate sources of support unless otherwise designated and disclosed to the supporter related to a specific project before a gift is credited.

Any questions from a supporter or prospective donor may be submitted with specificity, and a response will be provided within a reasonable span of time. If the question concerns accounting, it will be addressed by our certified public accountant, and a response over the signature of our CPA will be provided.

Under certain circumstances, if a prospective donor wishes to make a gift and requires third-party certification, It’s About Kids would agree to such an examination.

It’s About Kids is guided by a board of directors that relies almost exclusively on decisions made by field officers. This governance structure allows for agility in decision-making processes and applies accountability directly to those making the decisions. Any supporter or prospective donor may inquire with specificity about decisions in the organization that are relevant to donors and appropriate to disclose.”
